Replay the walk, 100 ms at a time

Every 100 ms the brain model's descending neurons fire; our hand-made mapping turns their rates into two numbers (left, right legs); FlyGym's controller turns the numbers into steps. Choose runs, then play or drag the time slider. Our test of 2 Oct 2026.

Top view, drawn to scale; forward at the start is to the right, left is up. Grid lines every 5 mm.

Bars: the two drive numbers in the current 100 ms bin, from −1.2 to 1.2; the orange tick marks our cap at 1.2. "Brain sends": mean rates in that bin (Hz, left / right) of the forward neurons P9 (DNp09), the turning neurons DNa02 and the backward neurons MDN. Brainless runs have no brain rates.
