A route, not an eligibility check
What are you trying to do?
Choose the task’s needs. Everything stays in this browser; no account, service or directory is contacted.
Suggested starting point
Try the normal prompt first
For a one-off recap from supplied notes, the selected host’s built-in capabilities may be enough. No plugin is needed if the host can read the information and produce a satisfactory result.
- Confirm the files can be read and the output can be checked against them.
- Do not infer access to a calendar or absent meeting notes.
Confirm the plugin and capabilities in your account/workspace before relying on this route. A dropdown cannot grant access or establish feature parity.

Decision rules and limitations
Our editorial framework: use native prompting for a one-off task; use a focused skill for repeatability; inspect an authorized integration for outside data/actions; build when a reusable workflow has no suitable existing route. These are suggestions, not measured performance or product tests.
The current guide excludes IDE plugins. Apple Messages requires Apple Silicon macOS desktop Work/Codex. Task-specific limits can override general surface support. Four catalog examples in the guide are untested.
Before a public skills-only release, plan for the current limit: adding MCP to an existing skills-only public plugin is unsupported. Local install/test is not submission, approval or publication.
