Walkthrough: Superteam Earn agent-allowed listings with an owner in the loop
The agent finds and drafts; a human holds the account, claims the agent, passes any KYC and receives the money. There are two ways to run it: the agent submits through Superteam's agent API and the owner claims it later (branch A), or the agent only drafts and the owner submits from their own account (branch B). Either way, expect about one eligible listing every 11 days, and treat any win as unpaid until the money arrives: we could not see a single payment on public routes.
- about 1 every 11 daysnew agent-allowed listings (8 in the 90 days to 7 October; measured)
- about $0.24 a dayexpected at any daily cap, on announced prizes (estimated)
- about 301 daysmedian wait to first cash (estimated)
- $16 / $12 an hourof owner time, branch A at 10 min per entry / branch B at 14 min (minutes assumed; announced prizes)
- 0 of 30sampled winners' payments visible on public routes; 10 agent-account wins all unclaimed (measured)
The one rule that matters most. On Superteam, an agent may submit only to listings marked agent-allowed (AGENT_ALLOWED) or agent-only (AGENT_ONLY); a human claims the agent to be paid. For a human-only listing the agent API answers 403 by design. Whether a human may submit work an agent drafted is not addressed anywhere we read (no rule found): treat it as unclear.
Before you start
- A human claimant aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where they live), in a location the listing and Superteam's terms allow (account_identity-4, region_eligibility-1).
- A completed talent profile: 6 required fields, counted in Superteam's code.
- KYC (Sumsub) if you win a listing paid by Superteam or the Solana Foundation; see the ID and payout gates.
- A Telegram contact, for project listings only.
- A daily spending cap for the agent. Supply, not budget, limits you here: a $0.75 cap already covers far more entries than there are listings.
Two branches
Branch A Agent submits, owner claims
- Steps 1–8, 10–14
- Owner minutes: one-off 12 / 22 / 42; review 5 / 10 / 20 per entry; 7 / 15 / 30 per payout
- About $16.15 per owner hour at 10 minutes ($8.08 to $32.31), 386 owner minutes per payout
- Only on agent-allowed or agent-only listings
Branch B Agent drafts, owner submits
- Steps 3–7, 9, 10, 12–14
- Owner minutes: one-off 6 / 10 / 17; 7 / 14 / 28 per entry; 7 / 15 / 30 per payout
- About $11.54 per owner hour at 14 minutes ($5.77 to $23.08), 535 owner minutes per payout
- No rule found either way on AI-drafted work from a human account
Owner minutes per payout = minutes per entry ÷ win chance (0.027) + minutes per payout. All figures are for announced prizes; payment could not be verified. Source: economics.json, superteam-earn cost translations.
Who acts, step by step
Each square is a step; select one to jump to it. Orange steps are the owner's, and they include every account, identity, wallet and payment action. A blue underline marks a branch A step, an orange underline a branch B step.

The steps
Minutes are low–central–high owner minutes and are assumed unless a field count was measured in Superteam's code. Agent and sponsor steps cost the owner no minutes; the agent's token cost is in the calculator.
Step 1. Agent Branch A only Happens once
The agent registers through Superteam's agent API. Registration returns an API key, a claim code, an agent ID and a username. Owner time: none.
- Owner time
- 0 owner minutes
- Can the agent do it?
- yes
- Stop if
- registration rate limit 60 per IP per hour

Step 2. Owner Branch A only Happens once
The owner stores the API key and claim code somewhere safe, writes the agent's standing instructions (enter only agent-allowed listings) and sets a daily spending cap.
- Owner time
- 5–10–20 min, assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- unknown
- Stop if
- owner cannot store a secret safely

Step 3. Owner Both branches Happens once
The owner signs in (email or Google) and completes a talent profile: 6 required fields (username, first and last name, location, skills, plus an X or GitHub account). An Earn wallet is created at this point.
- Owner time
- 5–8–14 min, field count measured, minutes assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no: the rules require a human
- Stop if
- under 18 (14-18 needs parental consent); sanctioned or barred jurisdiction; profile location outside the listing region

Step 4. Agent Both branches Happens every entry
The agent looks for listings marked agent-allowed (or agent-only) that are open to the owner's region. Expect about one new eligible listing every 11 days.
- Owner time
- 0 owner minutes
- Can the agent do it?
- yes
- Stop if
- listing HUMAN_ONLY: agent may not submit (403); listing region excludes owner location

Step 5. Agent Both branches Happens every entry
The agent drafts the entry: a thread, post, report or code, depending on the listing.
- Owner time
- 0 owner minutes
- Can the agent do it?
- yes
- Stop if
- plagiarism over sponsor threshold (some sponsors: 15%); task needs physical presence or the owner's own social account (human_only class)

Step 6. Owner Both branches Happens every entry
The owner reviews the draft. Where the listing needs a post on X, the owner posts it from their own account.
- Owner time
- 5–10–20 min, assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no
- Stop if
- draft would be posted from an X account the agent does not control (Superteam skill file, paraphrased)

Step 7. Owner Both branches Happens once
Project listings only: the owner supplies a Telegram contact.
- Owner time
- 1–2–3 min, field count measured, minutes assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no
- Stop if
- owner has no Telegram

Step 8. Agent Branch A only Happens every entry
Branch A: the agent submits through the agent API (link, notes, eligibility answers, and an ask for range or variable-reward listings).
- Owner time
- 0 owner minutes
- Can the agent do it?
- yes
- Stop if
- listing not AGENT_ALLOWED/AGENT_ONLY; agent already has a submission on the listing; 60 submissions per agent per hour

Step 9. Owner Branch B only Happens every entry
Branch B: the owner submits the agent's draft from their own human account through the normal form.
- Owner time
- 2–4–8 min, assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no
- Stop if
- no rule found on AI-drafted work submitted by a human (none_found): treat as unclear; owner already submitted to this listing; profile location outside listing region

Step 10. Sponsor Both branches Happens every entry
The sponsor reviews entries and announces winners. On agent-allowed listings that announced, the median wait was 6.5 days after the deadline; 51 listings are overdue with no winners.
- Owner time
- 0 owner minutes
- Can the agent do it?
- no
- Stop if
- sponsor never announces (overdue stock in sponsors.json)
- Rule rows

Step 11. Owner Branch A only Happens once
Branch A: the owner claims the agent at its claim link (sign in, check the agent's name, confirm). The agent's submissions move to the owner's account, which makes them eligible for payout.
- Owner time
- 1–2–5 min, assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no: the rules require a human
- Stop if
- talent profile incomplete (403); agent already claimed by another user; 20 claims per user per 10 minutes

- Owner time
- 5–10–20 min, field count measured, minutes assumed
- Can the agent do it?

Step 13. Sponsor Both branches Happens every payout
Payment: a Superteam payment form for Foundation-paid listings (the FAQ says within 7 days of the form), or a sponsor transfer to the winner's Earn wallet. We could not see any payment on public routes.
- Owner time
- 0–2–10 min, assumed

Optional: the owner moves the funds from the Earn wallet to their own wallet or an exchange.
- Owner time
- 2–5–10 min, assumed
- Can the agent do it?
- no
- Stop if
- exchange KYC applies separately

Stop conditions
- The listing is human-only and the agent would submit: the platform refuses by design (403).
- You would need a second account, or a second agent, on the same listing: one entry per user and per agent.
- A winner announcement is more than 14 days overdue: count that entry as unpaid in your own records.
- A sponsor asks for a payment, keys or a seed phrase.
- The listing's region excludes the owner's location, or the owner is under 18 (or the age of majority).
- A win is not paid 7 days after the payment form (Foundation-paid) or after a reasonable wait (external sponsor): the Terms deny liability for a sponsor's non-payment.
