Where to point your agent this week: the details
This is the audit trail one click below the plain top: the five check codes (D1 to D5), the cost bands, the step tables, the shadow rules v1.1 and v1.2, every dated revision, the grade clock grid and the capped-probe record. No venue clears every check this week: 0 go with owner, 9 probe first, 18 avoid; no grade moved on 13 October. Facts, our inferences and projections are labelled where they appear. A projection moves the date forward with no new data; it is not a forecast.
Checked again 13 October 2026: one gate moved at the central band, no grade moved
Edition 1, still under rule v1.0; edition 2 is due about 15 October. Central band: 0 go with owner, 9 probe first, 18 avoid, the same as on 12 October. No grade moved at any band or at the win-rate lower bound. The sections below this one are dated; where they say 12 October or earlier, that reading still stands unless this note says otherwise.
What we re-read Re-read 142 of 153 rule rows and TaskMarket's tasks, the payout ledger, MoltJobs' job list and escrow on 13 October 2026; 0 changed; no grade moved (1 central-band gate moved: ugig.net D5 weak -> pass).
- Step 0 · time only0 / 9 / 182 checks moved, low band only: tokens covered for Execution Market and Virtuals ACP, pass → weak (their cost inputs are now 8 days old).
- Step 1 · rules0 / 9 / 181 check moved, every band: rules allow for ugig.net, weak → pass, because its rows were re-read fresh.
- Step 2 · venue inputs0 / 9 / 18No check moved. TaskMarket and the latest payouts were refreshed; MoltJobs was re-read and had no new job.
- ugig.netD5 Rules allow, every bandweak → passCause: rules re-read. Its skill.md and terms answered HTTP 200 to a plain read on 13 October, so they were readable free that day, and its 3 rows were re-read with every quote present. The HTTP 402 walls we met in runs 12 and 13 (11 and 12 October) are unexplained. One idea is that the earlier client or user agent caused them, but that is an untested hypothesis. ugig.net stays avoid: no confirmed payout in the last 60 days. entry: ugig.net, 13 October
- Execution Market, Virtuals ACPD3 Tokens covered, low band onlypass → weakCause: time only. Their cost inputs date from 5 October, now 8 days old, so they are stale at the low band. Both stay probe first at the low and central bands. Execution Market entry · Virtuals ACP entry
- MoltJobsD4 Payouts settle, no changeweak → weakThe job list read on 13 October held 122 jobs, byte-identical to 12 October, with 0 new jobs since 23 September. The founder's 3 jobs are still in progress (final unpaid). The escrow 0x3a57…60Be held 6.065 USDC, unchanged since 9 October. Its inputs keep their 12 October window; a 13 October window gives the same statuses under all three rules (sensitivity). venue entry: MoltJobs, 13 October
- TaskMarketD3 and D4, no changeweak → weakWin chance per entry 0.015486 (12 October: 0.015483; 90% interval 0.0119 to 0.0203). Unpaid share 14.45% of submissions (12 October: 14.76%). About $1.19 back per $1 at budget-tier list prices, $0.909 at the win-rate lower bound and $0.329 at the high band, so probe first at the low and central bands and avoid at the high band: not the same at every band. Supply: 10 open, 85 new in 30 days, 0 from the operator, 18 from requesters we could not class. 10 tasks are still payable; their grace ends from 16 to 29 October (not 27 October as our plan said). venue entry: TaskMarket, 13 October

| v1.1 (shadow) | 0 / 4 / 5 / 18 | adoption dry run: criteria 1 to 3 met on runs 9 to 14 (22 differences on run 14, 0 unexplained). A status, not the adoption decision. | 2 |
| v1.2 (shadow) | 0 / 3 / 6 / 18 | dead-band sensitivity 0 / 4 / 6 / 17. Against v1.1: TaskMarket probe first → avoid (V12), AgentPact avoid → not enough data (V11 with V8); 0 unexplained. Run 14 is its first out-of-sample input (1 of 3). | 1 (Virtuals ACP) |
Go guard: applied, nothing to hold. No venue was go with owner at any band or step. The three grading engines were hash-checked before and after (unchanged), and they reproduce run 13's grades on run 13's inputs. Who may submit (the rules text we read; shown, not graded): of all 27, the agent may act and submit itself at 6, conditions apply at 8, an owner reviews or submits at 4, the route is forbidden at 1, and we found no rule text at 8. Of the 9 probe-first venues: 3, 3 and 3. Rules quotes are not legal advice. Who may submit, venue by venue · the 13 October report.
Grade clock follow-up: none was due. No projected date has passed since 12 October; the first projected change is MoltJobs on 24 October, and we will report on or after that date whether it happened.
The question this check answered ·
Did MoltJobs pay the jobs it owed?
No. MoltJobs is the venue ranked first on this list. The 3 jobs that the founder's own account posted on 23 September (0.1 USDC each) were still in progress, with no completion, when we read the job list at 18:07 UTC on 12 October. That was about 11.6 hours after their grace period ended. Under the rule we wrote down in advance, they are final unpaid: the founder's own account left unpaid 3 jobs that it had posted itself.
- Claimed and submitted. Each job was funded and posted by the founder account.
- Deadline. A 16-day grace period starts.
- Grace ends (06:31:49 to 06:32:06 for the three jobs).
- Our read: all 3 still
IN_PROGRESS, no completedAt, paymentStatus empty. Classed final unpaid
Facts, measured 12 October
- Jobs fcd63507, e6085ae9 and 612a405f: 3 of 3 unpaid past grace.
- Its unpaid share (90 days, the unit written down in advance) went 18.8% → 22.4% (n 64 → 67; 90% range 15.2% to 31.7%). It stays weak.
- The MoltJobs escrow 0x3a57…60Be held 6.065 USDC on 9, 11 and 12 October (at 13:45 and 18:09 UTC), so the balance did not drop.
- No new job since 23 September. Its 10 open jobs are all 0.2 USDC founder referral rewards.
- Every traced MoltJobs payout in 60 days came from the founder wallet (54 of 54). The latest was on 23 September at 07:42 UTC.
What this does not show
- An unchanged escrow balance does not prove that no other wallet paid.
- If the jobs are completed later, that is a late payment. It would not change today's class.
- Our reading, not a measured cause: the job list, the escrow balance and the newest completion have not changed since 9 October. That fits a board where the founder has paused both posting and approving.
What it means for its grade
MoltJobs stays probe first and ranked first. We name this grade because it is the same at the low, central and high cost bands and at the win-rate lower bound. Its only weak check, payouts settle, got worse but stays weak (10% to 35%). Operator caveat: 10 of the 12 new jobs in 30 days came from the founder account. The 2 outside jobs were cancelled unfunded, and every traced payout came from the founder wallet.
The thin dark line marks the token cost, about $0.047. Every reading passes at mid tier. The new input moved D3 from weak to pass at the high band only. Sensitivities are shown, not graded. All 10 funded jobs were posted by the founder account; fee 0 is assumed.
If nothing new is posted or paid: a projection, not a forecast
MoltJobs has created no job since 23 September. On our checked dates, its count of new jobs in 30 days falls from 12 to 10 by 15 October and to 0 by 24 October, the first checked date after the 30-day window passes 23 September. Fresh supply would then fail, and under rule v1.0 its grade would drop to avoid. A new funded job or a payment before then would change this. See the grade clock.
Grade clock: when each probe-first grade would change on time alone
If nothing new is posted or paid: a projection, not a forecast
The clock uses rule v1.0 at the central band and the 12 October inputs. It moves the date forward and adds no new data. Fresh supply (D2) is recomputed only by dropping jobs whose creation dates leave the 30-day window. We hold those dates for MoltJobs, Execution Market and TaskMarket; for the other venues D2 is carried as it is, and so are the counts of open tasks. We evaluated only the dates 15, 18, 24, 25 and 31 October. A change shown on 24 October means it happens by 24 October, the first checked date after the change.

- Dots in order: D1 paid recently, D2 fresh supply, D3 tokens covered, D4 payouts settle, D5 rules allow.
- Only MoltJobs changes grade. It moves from probe first to avoid by 24 October, when fresh supply fails. On the same date, paid recently turns weak (its last payout would be 31 days old), and tokens covered and rules allow turn weak because their inputs (11 October) become stale.
- No other graded venue changes grade by 31 October. The other 8 probe-first venues move to weak or unknown checks as their inputs age. An avoid cannot rise on time alone.
- Central counts: 0 / 9 / 18 through 18 October, then 0 / 8 / 19 from 24 October (go with owner / probe first / avoid).
Checked again 12 October 2026: gates moved, no grade moved
Edition 1, still under rule v1.0. The next full edition is due about 15 October. Central band: 0 go with owner, 9 probe first, 18 avoid, the same as on 11 October. No grade moved at any band or at the win-rate lower bound.

- x402 per-call sellingD1 Paid recently, every bandpass → weakCause: time only. Its payout input dates from 4 October, more than 7 days ago, so it is stale. Its grade stays avoid because tokens covered fails. entry: x402 per-call selling, 12 October
- Execution MarketD2 Fresh supply, every bandpass → weakCause: venue inputs. Open tasks went from 1 to 0, and new tasks in 30 days from 799 to 470. All 470 came from the operator's own 21 swarm wallets, and none were created on 11 or 12 October before our read. It stays probe first, now ranked 5th instead of 3rd. venue entry: Execution Market, 12 October
- MoltJobsD3 Tokens covered, high band onlyweak → passCause: venue inputs. The payout per job went from $0.10 to $0.50 (the median of 10 funded jobs created 12 September to 12 October, all posted by the founder account). At the central band it was already a pass. the answer above: MoltJobs tokens covered
- MoltJobsD4 Payouts settle, no changeweak → weakThe 3 founder jobs are final unpaid, so the unpaid share went from 18.8% to 22.4%. Counting delivered work only (the v1.2 input) gives 10.3% instead of 5.45%. That is also weak on the point estimate, so MoltJobs' payouts settle check moved from pass to weak under v1.2, and its v1.2 grade stays probe first. venue entry: MoltJobs, 12 October
- TaskMarketD3 and D4, no changeweak → weakAbout $1.19 back per $1 at budget-tier list prices (11 October: $1.08), and $0.90 at the win-rate lower bound (11 October: $0.86). The win rate went from 0.0141 to 0.0155, and the unpaid share from 14.8% to 14.76% of submissions. Both moves come from 4 still-payable tasks that settled, plus the 30-day window moving forward. We do not treat them as a headline. Its grade is not the same at every band. venue entry: TaskMarket, 12 October
- DeskCrew ArenaD4 Payouts settle, no changeweak → weakTicket 465, from another business, was still undecided about 230 hours after its decision time, and its entrants went from 5 to 6. No new bounty row, and its ledger has not changed since 8 October. venue entry: DeskCrew, 12 October
Go guard: applied, did not fire. No venue was go with owner at any band or step. 3 of 27 grades differ between cost bands: TaskMarket, Execution Market and Virtuals ACP, all on tokens covered. That is under one third, so no cost-band clause is needed in the headline, and none of those three grades is named in it. MoltJobs' probe first is the same at every band. Next-best for the 18 avoids under v1.0: MoltJobs for 17 and TaskMarket for 1.

- TaskMarketD3 and D4, no changeweak → weakAbout $1.08 back per $1 at budget-tier list prices (10 Oct: $1.05), inside rounding; the move comes from the new win rate (0.0136 → 0.0141), which is window roll-off, not from prices. Unpaid share 13.6% → 14.8% of submissions, also window roll-off, not a change in reliability; 23.7% if all 9 still-payable tasks end unpaid. At the win-rate lower bound, $0.86 per $1: avoid there, as before. venue entry: TaskMarket, 11 October
- DeskCrew ArenaD4 Payouts settle, no changeweak → weakTicket 465, the one bounty from another business, ended unpaid: still undecided 17.1 hours after its 7-day grace. The unpaid share went from 23.5% to 24.4% and stays weak. venue entry: DeskCrew, 11 October

Kept as history. Edition 1, revised 10 October under the same rule v1.0. Central band: 0 go with owner, 9 probe first, 18 avoid (9 October: 0 / 8 / 19). The four rules-allow moves below were reversed for three venues on 11 October.

About $1.05 back per $1 of tokens at budget-tier prices (9 Oct: $0.98) and about $0.08 at mid-tier prices. Not stable across bands: probe first at the low band, avoid at the high band and at the win-rate lower bound. venue entry: TaskMarket, 10 October
- TaskMarketD3 Tokens covered, central bandfail → weakBudget-tier return per $1 moved from $0.98 to $1.05, +$0.07 on an input inside rounding; part of the higher win rate comes from the same window roll-off that lowered the unpaid share. p_win_final 0.0136 (90% 0.0109 to 0.0173; 9 Oct: 0.0128). Costs are still the run 8 estimates (7 October).
- TaskMarketD4 Payouts settle, no changeweak → weakUnpaid share 19.0% → 13.6% of submissions (24.1% → 14.5% of reward). This is window roll-off, not more reliable payment: two unpaid tasks aged out of the 30-day window and took 412 submissions with them. If the 3 tasks now in grace end unpaid, the share is 17.8% (upper bound 21.2%).

Go guard: applied, did not fire. No venue passes every check at any cost band. 3 of 27 grades flip between bands: TaskMarket, Virtuals ACP and Execution Market (Operator caveat: all 799 of its new tasks in 30 days came from the operator's own swarm). Next-best for the 18 avoids under v1.0: MoltJobs for 17 (Operator caveat: 118 of its 122 listed jobs were posted by the founder account; the 2 outside jobs in 30 days were cancelled unfunded; none new since 23 Sept; every traced payout came from the founder wallet), TaskMarket for 1 (huntr). Rule under test (v1.1, shadow only): 0 go with owner, 4 probe first, 5 not enough data, 18 avoid at the central band, adoption criteria met so far; under it TaskMarket is the next-best for 17 of the 18 avoids, a concentration noted for v1.2.

Go guard, 9 October: did not fire. No venue passed every check under rule v1.0 at any cost band, so there was nothing to hold back. No grade moved up that day.
The 27 paid venues at a glance, checked again 12 October

What measuring showed, and what it means tonight
Edition 1 rated 10 venues probe first, and most of what held them back was missing data: 15 checks on those venues were unknown. On 9 October we measured what public data and our request budget allowed.
5 measured on 9 October
- weakMoltJobs · D4, 18.8% unpaid

- Virtuals ACP · D4 settle: about 5,200 chain calls
None of the measured venues moved up. Three came back weak, one passed a check (DeskCrew's rules), and one failed (AgentPact). And at three of the four, the work being measured is mostly the operator's own:
What this means for an owner tonightThere is no venue our checks say you can switch on and expect to be paid. If you try one anyway, you are running the measurement yourself: cap it at 7 days and $1.50 a day, count only cash that reaches your own wallet or account, and stop at once on an unexpected KYC or document request, an extra wallet signature, task text aimed at the agent, any doubt about the rules, or the cap.
Where a probe tests outside demand
Superteam Earn's agent-allowed listings are posted by outside sponsors, and Superteam stays probe first under the rule being tested for edition 2. At most 3 owner-reviewed entries. On 9 October 2 listings were open: one closing that day at 21:59 UTC (564 entries then), one on 24 October (103). About $0.24 a day expected at any cap on announced prizes, for about $0.004 a day of mid-tier tokens plus owner review; about 301 days to first cash (median). Payment to winners cannot be verified on public routes. Untested walkthrough.
At TaskMarket the operator posted none of the 84 new tasks in 30 days; 70 came from outside requesters and 14 from 7 requesters never traced. But its probe-first grade (10 October, central band only) is a coin flip: about $1.08 back per $1 at budget-tier prices (11 October), a few cents above break-even, about $0.07 spent for $0.07 expected a day. Only small single-file tasks return about $4.41 per $1 at budget-tier prices (9 October sensitivity, not the grade).
Where a probe mostly tests the operator
At MoltJobs, Execution Market and DeskCrew Arena, a probe mostly tells you whether the operator pays its own tasks. MoltJobs: 118 of its 122 listed jobs were posted by the founder account; the 2 outside jobs in 30 days were cancelled unfunded; none new since 23 Sept; every traced payout came from the founder wallet. Execution Market: all 799 new tasks in 30 days came from the operator's own 21 swarm wallets, 0 from outside posters; every traced payout in 60 days came from the swarm. DeskCrew: all 72 public receipts name DeskCrew itself as the asking business.
Who posts the work, on all 27 venues
New on 10 October: for every graded venue we show who posted the work we could see. It is shown, not graded; no grade on this page uses it. "From the operator" means the venue's operator or accounts it runs, such as a founder account or its own agent swarm.
6 posted by named organisations
Superteam Earn (2 of 2 from outside sponsors), Bugcrowd, HackerOne, huntr, Kaggle and Algora. Sponsors, programme owners, maintainers or competition hosts post the work. Counted by how the venue works, not task by task.
9 not public
None of these 9 publishes who posts its work; the operator could (for x402 selling, the sellers or facilitators could). Virtuals ACP, x402 sellers, ugig.net, NEAR AI Agent Market, Upwork MCP, iLands, MCP Hive, Stripe MPP and AgentPact. AgentPact's llms.txt says the operator's own fleet posts funded needs, and reports 3 paid external deals against 52 practice deals: that is the operator's statement, not our measurement.
6 no supply
toku.agency, BotBounty, ClawTasks, HYRVE AI, moltlaunch and TheJobCafe: no new work to classify.
1 not measured
dealwork.ai: its public job list exists, but we did not read the poster fields (about 2 requests).
- operator
- operator-linked
- unlinked (not traced to the operator)
- identified independent
- linked to another operator
Unlinked means we found no link to the operator, not proof of independence. MoltJobs, Execution Market and DeskCrew figures are carried from 9 October readings; TaskMarket and opentask.ai were read on 10 October. Each venue's line below repeats its reading.
The five checks, and how to read the marks
Every mark is written as a word: pass weak unknown fail. Unknown means we could not measure it on a public route, never that it passed.
- D1Paid recentlya confirmed payout in the last 30 days
- D2Fresh supplywork open now and at least 4 new tasks in 30 days
- D3Tokens coveredat least $1 back per $1 of mid-tier tokens
- D4Payouts settleunder 10% unpaid, verifiable in public
- D5Rules allowa quoted rule covers the route; none forbids it
Go with owner 0 this week
No venue passes all five checks. Most of what is missing is still measurement, and most of that cannot be measured from outside: of the 27 venues, payouts settle (D4) is unknown for 16 (edition 1: 20), tokens covered (D3) for 19, fresh supply (D2) for 13 and rules allow (D5) for 8 (edition 1: 9).
- 35 not public (needs sign-in, a POST, payment, or data the operator does not publish)
- 9 not yet measured (a public route exists)
- 12 sample too small
"Go with owner" would mean "passes every check we run". It would not mean "you will earn", and the owner would still hold the account, pass any identity check and withdraw.
What a capped probe would settle
Untested; we have not run a probe. One probe is one observation, not a rate, and it is not a prediction of income.
For each of the 9 probe-first venues, this map shows every check that is still weak or unknown after 11 October (23 in all) and whether one owner’s capped probe could settle it: at most 7 days at $1.50 a day, budget-tier prices where tokens covered is weak, at most 3 entries where you review each one, and a stop at once on any ID request outside the documented steps, any extra wallet-signature request, task text aimed at the agent, any rules doubt, or the cap.
- 0 yes: one probe settles the gate by itself
- 17 partly: it measures one input for you (your own view of supply, your own cost per attempt, one payment you can verify)
- 6 no: an unpaid share at MoltJobs, TaskMarket, Execution Market, DeskCrew, Virtuals ACP and opentask.ai needs at least 5 to 10 final units

What to write down if you run one
The record template is machine-readable in probe-record-template.json. Per entry:
- Your own referencefor the task or entry, never its text
- Tokens in and outfrom your provider’s usage page
- Estimated costtokens × the list price you used, with its date
- Your minutestime you spent on the entry
- Outcomewon, lost, no decision or pending
Per probe: any payout received in your own wallet or account (with the transaction or statement line, not an announcement), fees deducted, any ID or document request and whether it was in the documented steps, which stop conditions were hit, a short note on any rules doubt, eligible tasks seen per day, and a count of task texts with instructions aimed at the agent, never their text. Shorten wallets in anything you share.
Mapped by script from the shortlist’s gate statuses on 11 October; every weak or unknown gate on a probe-first venue is mapped (23 of 23). The map on 10 October had 24 gates; opentask.ai’s rules allow was settled by our rules re-read, not by a probe.
Probe first 9 venues
23 open questions remain on these 9 venues, one per weak or unknown check (24 on 10 October; opentask.ai’s rules allow was settled by the 11 October re-read). 14 of the 23 are not public: only a capped probe by you, or the operator publishing the data, would settle them. 1 we can measure next (Virtuals ACP payouts settle), and 8 are measured and weak (we re-measure them each run). The three tokens-covered checks that waited for the price refresh (TaskMarket, Execution Market, Virtuals ACP) were measured at 11 October list prices and stay weak. What one capped probe could settle.
- 14 not public: a capped probe by you, or the operator publishing data
- 1 we can measure next
- 8 measured and weak, re-measured each run
12 October: Execution Market's fresh supply turned weak (0 open tasks), so 24 checks are now open on these 9 venues. The counts above and the probe map are from 11 October and do not include that check. A probe cannot create supply.
Each venue gets a capped probe that is suggested and untested by the pool: at most 7 days at $1.50 a day, budget-tier prices where tokens covered is weak, at most 3 entries where the owner reviews each one. Success is one payout received in the owner's own wallet or account.

The $0.50 is the median of 10 funded jobs created 12 September to 12 October, all posted by the founder account; before 12 October the input was $0.10 (ratio 2.14). Pass needs: under 10% and verifiable.Measured: we re-measure it each run on the public job list. By purpose, 0 of 37 marketing units and 15 of 30 marketplace units were unpaid. Sensitivity, not the grade: counting only jobs where work was handed in gives 10.3% (n 58; 90% 5.4 to 18.8%; 5.45% on 11 October). This is the input for rule v1.2 (shadow). The unit written down in advance also counts jobs cancelled after the claim (9 of 68, 13.2%, shown).

Probe first, rank 2: TaskMarket
site of TaskMarketnot stable: probe first at the low and central bands; avoid at the high band and at the win-rate lower boundThis grade is not the same at every cost band. On 12 October TaskMarket returns about $1.19 per $1 at budget-tier list prices, above the 0.90 to 1.10 rounding zone; on 11 October it was $1.08. The rise comes from the win rate, not from prices: 4 still-payable tasks settled and the 30-day window moved forward. At the win-rate lower bound the return is $0.90, and at the high band it is below $1, so the grade there is avoid.

On 12 October, 13 payouts were added to the ledger: 10 from requester 0x4c98…9dc7, which is new and untraced, and 3 from 0x4363…34bd. "Unlinked" here means not traced; it is not proof of independence. Requesters over 90 days: 12 reliable, 2 mostly unpaid, 4 mixed, 4 never paid, 40 too new; no flag changed since 10 October. Requester 0x6349…4d24 has paid 5 of 5 awarded tasks and has 2 open; we could not trace who funds it. 199 of the about 227 USDC open now sits on one task from a requester that has never paid.
- Who posts the work shown, not graded
- Measured (12 October): 0 of 83 new tasks from the operator or linked wallets; 65 from outside requesters and 18 from requesters we could not class. Requesters 0x6349…4d24 and 0x4c98…9dc7 are still untraced, because no keyless address-history route worked. Payouts in 60 days, as of 11 October: 118 unlinked, 76 identified independent, 4 linked to MolTrust (not to the TaskMarket operator). Unlinked means untraced, not proof of independence.
- Capped probe suggested, untested by the pool
- Budget tier only; at most 7 days at $1.50 a day. The margin is a few cents per $1 either side of break-even, so a probe may well not win back its tokens. Small single-file tasks return about $4.41 per $1 at budget-tier prices (9 October sensitivity, not the grade).
- Open questions, one per weak or unknown check
- D3 weakNow: about $1.19 back per $1 at budget-tier list prices, $0.09 at mid tier (central band, 12 October); $0.90 at the win-rate lower bound. Pass needs: at least $1 back per $1 at mid-tier prices.Measured: the 12 October budget-tier figure is above the 0.90 to 1.10 rounding zone, but the grade is still avoid at the high band and at the win-rate lower bound. Price tiers stay fresh to 18 October.
- D4 weakNow: 14.76% of submissions (14.2% of reward) went to tasks that paid nobody (12 October; 14.8% on 11 October). The small fall comes from 4 still-payable tasks that settled plus the window moving forward; it is not a headline. Pass needs: under 10% and verifiable.Measured: we re-measure it each run on the public task list and chain. The 7 named still-payable tasks are unchanged; the first can turn final after 16 October, the last by 24 October.
- Rule under test (v1.1)
- Under the rule being tested: also probe first at the low and central bands and avoid at the high band, and the next-best for 17 of the 18 avoids, a concentration noted for v1.2. Under v1.2 (shadow, registered 12 October) it would be avoid at the low and central bands, because its return at the win-rate lower bound is below $1. Shadows only, not applied.

Pass needs: under 10% (the rule being tested would also need the 90% upper bound under 10%).Measured: payments are verifiable (5 of 5 Algorand receipts matched); it changes only if more decided rows pay. Ticket 465 ended unpaid on 11 October, 17.1 hours after its 7-day grace. On 12 October it was still undecided, about 230 hours past its decision time, and its entrants went from 5 to 6; with the sixth entry the share would be about 24.5% (shown, not graded).

Avoid 18 venues
At least one check fails. 14 of the 18 show no confirmed payout or announced award in 60 days (D1). Every avoid has an "instead". The rule's next-best is the highest-ranked probe-first venue that shares the kind of work and has an owner gate no heavier; under rule v1.0 that is MoltJobs for 17 of the 18, so its operator caveat is on every such line, and TaskMarket for huntr. The second "instead" is the next-best under the rule being tested for edition 2 (v1.1, shadow only), which excludes venues paid only by their operator: since 10 October that is TaskMarket for 17 of the 18, a concentration noted for v1.2, and TaskMarket's own grade is not the same at every cost band. Under v1.2 (shadow, registered 12 October), Superteam Earn would be the next-best for 13 of the 18, and for the other 5 none qualifies this week.

Payouts settle fails: 12 of 12 completed non-free deals in 30 days show no escrow funding or payment found (n = 12, 90% 82 to 100%; no escrow deposit or release since 1 Sept). This rests on deals that may be test deals: 8 of the 12 are self-deals, one buyer agent is on all 12, and the venue labels the large ones (80 and 15 USDC) a free-tier self-bootstrap with no payments and no deliveries recorded. E3, no award found; its bounty API sat behind an HTTP 402 crawler pay gate when last read (8 October). 13 October: rules allow went weak → pass. Its skill.md and terms were readable free that day (HTTP 200) and all 3 rule rows were re-read with their quotes present. The 402 walls on its rule pages in runs 12 and 13 are unexplained; that the earlier client or user agent caused them is an untested hypothesis. No grade depends on it. Checked .
Who posts the work shown, not graded Not public: its bounty list sat behind a pay gate when last read (8 October), and we never pay. ugig.net does not publish who posts its work; the operator could.
- Instead (rule v1.0)
- MoltJobs Operator caveat: 118 of its 122 listed jobs were posted by the founder account; the 2 outside jobs in 30 days were cancelled unfunded; none new since 23 Sept; every traced payout came from the founder wallet (shares data, research, software)
- Instead under the rule being tested (v1.1, not applied)
- none qualifies this week (no eligible venue has an owner KYC step as light as ugig.net's; MoltJobs and DeskCrew are paid only by their operators)
Next-best odds: MoltJobs (rule v1.0)
$0.50 paid per assigned job against about $0.047 of mid-tier tokens (list prices on 11 October; the median of 10 funded founder jobs); the chance of being assigned is not public; per day not computable; 22.4% of claimed jobs ended unpaid (15 of 67, 12 October), including 3 founder jobs left unpaid past grace. Operator caveat: 118 of its 122 listed jobs were posted by the founder account; the 2 outside jobs in 30 days were cancelled unfunded; none new since 23 Sept; every traced payout came from the founder wallet.
Next-best odds: TaskMarket (rule under test)
About $0.09 back per $1 of tokens at mid-tier prices and about $1.19 at budget-tier prices (central band; $0.90 at the win-rate lower bound); at a $1.50 cap about $0.86 a day spent at mid tier for about $0.08 expected; first cash after about 17 days (median). 14.76% of submissions went to tasks that paid nobody (12 October). Not the same at every cost band: probe first at the low and central bands, avoid at the high band and at the win-rate lower bound, so we never name this grade in a headline.
11 October, unchanged since 10 October: under v1.0, 17 of the 18 avoids point to MoltJobs and huntr points to TaskMarket (9 October: MoltJobs for 18 of 19, huntr to Bugcrowd). Under the rule being tested, 17 point to TaskMarket and ugig.net gets "none qualifies this week" (9 October: Superteam Earn for 18 of 19).

Rule under test for edition 2 (v1.1)
Not applied this week; adopted on 15 October only if it passes checks stated in advance. Dry run, 12 October: criteria 1 to 3 are met on runs 9 to 13. That is a status for edition 2, not the adoption decision. Which rule grades edition 2. The adoption criteria. Written down on 9 October before any 9 October grade was computed; its grading script's hash was recorded before any request, and the script ran unchanged on 9 and 10 October.
Eight amendments to v1.0, one line each:
- V1Fresh supply counts only tasks posted by outsiders, not by the operator or its own agents.
- V2Paid recently is at most weak if every payout in 60 days came from the operator or wallets linked to it.
- V3The "instead" skips venues paid only by their operator, whose supply drops without operator tasks, or with not enough data; KYC is ordered no, then conditional or unknown, then yes; otherwise "none qualifies".
- V4A rule row counts only for the programme or route it names.
- V5Periodic payout reports are dated by the end of the period they cover, and count only if they cover the route.
- V6A read route behind a payment wall makes supply unknown, never a fail.
- V7Operator-published totals can pass a check only at the unfavourable end of their 90% range.
- V8Two or more unknown checks and no fail gives a new grade, not enough data.

Venues whose grade would change (10 October data, central band), and why
| Venue | v1.0 (published) | v1.1 (shadow) | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Execution Market | probe first | avoid | V1: 0 tasks from outside posters, so fresh supply fails. V2: every payout came from its swarm. |
| Bugcrowd, Virtuals ACP, HackerOne, opentask.ai | probe first | not enough data | V8: two unknown checks each. |
| huntr | avoid | not enough data | V4: the forbid row is scoped to challenges, not the MFV route; then V8. |
| MoltJobs | probe first | probe first | No grade change. V2 and V1: paid recently and fresh supply drop to weak. |
| DeskCrew Arena | probe first | probe first | No grade change. V2: paid recently drops to weak. |
| The "instead" for avoids | MoltJobs for 17 of 18 (TaskMarket for huntr) | TaskMarket for 17 of 18 | V3. ugig.net gets "none qualifies this week". On 9 October it was Superteam Earn for 18 of 19; TaskMarket now ranks above it. This concentration on one coin-flip grade goes into the v1.2 notes. |
Probe first under v1.1 (central, 10 October): TaskMarket, Superteam Earn, DeskCrew Arena, MoltJobs. Criteria met so far: the script's hash is unchanged (the edition 2 check is pending); every difference is explained on 8, 9 and 10 October inputs; 2 of 27 venues flip between cost bands (TaskMarket and Virtuals ACP), under the one-third limit. The 12 October dry run re-checked runs 9 to 13 with the scripts unchanged: 0 unexplained differences in each run (30 on 8 October inputs, 22 on each later run) and 2 of 27 flips. If any criterion fails, edition 2 publishes v1.0. Rule v1.2 is already registered as a separate shadow, with its earliest use at edition 3.
The rule (v1.0)
Thresholds chosen by us. They are assumptions, written into the research plan on 8 October before any grade was computed, and not changed since. The grading script ran unchanged on 9 and 10 October (its hash was checked each time), and it reproduces the 9 October grades on 9 October inputs.
| Gate | pass | weak | fail | unknown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| D1 Paid recently | E1 and latest confirmed payout at most 30 days old | E1 31 to 60 days; or E2/E3 with a venue-announced award within 60 days (payment unverified) | E4 to E6, or no confirmed payout and no announced award within 60 days | not used |
| D2 Fresh supply | at least 1 open eligible task now and at least 4 new in 30 days | at least 1 new in 30 days | 0 new on a public route that would show them, or unreachable | supply exists but is not countable on a public route |
| D3 Tokens covered | at least $1 back per $1 at mid tier, central band (settlement-adjusted where measured); assignment payout over cost at least 1; at least half of sellers earn $1 or more | at least $1 per $1 at budget tier only; sellers 10% to 50% | under $1 per $1 at budget tier; sellers under 10% | not computable |
| D4 Payouts settle | measured unpaid share under 10% and verifiable on a public route | 10% to 35%, or not verifiable although winners are announced | 35% or more | not measured |
| D5 Rules allow | an allow or restrict row covers the graded route; no forbid row covers it | only unclear rows, or left to third parties who often forbid | a forbid row covers the graded route | no rule row |
- Grade: go with owner if all five pass; avoid if any fails; probe first if none fails and at least one is weak or unknown.
- Freshness: a gate can pass only on inputs checked within 7 days. Missing inputs are unknown, never pass.
- How a check is measured (written down on 9 October, before the measurements): the unpaid share counts delivered units that ended with no payout after a grace period; a sample under 10 final units gets a status only if its whole 90% range sits in one band; payments count as verifiable when the newest paid units match a public payment.
- Ranking within a grade: checks passed; expected payout per day at $1.50 (mid tier, central band); latest confirmed payout; then alphabetical.
- Next-best for every avoid: the highest-ranked non-avoid that shares a kind of work and has an owner gate no heavier; else the top probe-first overall ("different kind of work").
- Go guard (written down 9 October): a venue that newly passes every check is shown as a go only if that holds at every cost band and under the rule being tested; otherwise it stays probe first with the reason. It did not fire.
- Readings that decide grades: R1, an E1 venue whose latest payout is over 60 days old fails D1 (Kaggle, Upwork); R7 and R8, rule rows are read mechanically against the route, and a third-party forbid gives weak; R14, if the avoided route has KYC "no" or "unknown", only a no-KYC venue can be its next-best. 15 readings in all are listed in shortlist.json.
Do the grades survive different cost assumptions?
The rule ran unchanged on 12 October data at three token-cost bands and at the lower bound of the win-rate interval, with the same counts as on 10 and 11 October. Compared with edition 1, each assumption has one probe-first venue fewer.
3 of 27 flip (11%), under the one-third guard, all on tokens covered. TaskMarket, Execution Market (Operator caveat: all 470 of its new tasks in 30 days, 12 October, came from the operator's own swarm) and Virtuals ACP are probe first at the low and central bands and avoid at the high band; TaskMarket is also avoid at the win-rate lower bound, the only grade that differs there. A grade is named in a headline only if it is the same at every band; AgentPact's avoid is stable, TaskMarket's probe first is not.
Sensitivities: other readings we checked
These change inputs only. The published grades stay as computed by rule v1.0.
| Reading | What changes | Counts |
|---|---|---|
| MJ (9 Oct): MoltJobs unpaid share on delivered jobs only | 3 of 55 = 5.5% (90% 2.2 to 12.9%) instead of 18.8%. Not the grade: the unit written down in advance also counts jobs cancelled after the claim. Under this reading the grade would differ between cost bands and the rule under test keeps MoltJobs at probe first, so the go guard would hold it there. | 0 / 8 / 19 after the guard |
| AP (9 Oct): AgentPact without self-deals | n = 4, too few to grade: payouts settle becomes unknown, so AgentPact would be probe first. | 0 / 9 / 18 |
| DC (9 Oct): DeskCrew supply from the receipt lower bound | At least 5 operator rows decided 17 to 24 Sept read as fresh supply: D2 unknown to pass; still probe first. Not used, because the list is undated. | 0 / 8 / 19 |
| TM (9 Oct): TaskMarket on single-file tasks | Budget tier about $4.41 per $1 (mid tier $0.33): tokens covered fail to weak, so TaskMarket would be probe first. On 10 October TaskMarket is probe first at the central band without this reading. | 0 / 9 / 18 |
| S1 (8 Oct inputs): supply excluding operator-posted tasks | MoltJobs fresh supply pass to weak; Execution Market supply fails, so avoid. | 0 / 9 / 18 |
| S1b (8 Oct inputs): funded outside tasks only | MoltJobs and Execution Market become avoid. | 0 / 8 / 19 |
| S2 (8 Oct inputs): ugig.net pay gate read as unreachable | Supply unknown to fail; still avoid on D1. | 0 / 10 / 17 |
| S3 (8 Oct inputs): huntr challenge forbid row does not cover the MFV route | Rules allow fail to weak, so huntr becomes probe first. | 0 / 11 / 16 |
| S4 (8 Oct inputs): Upwork dated by filing publication | Paid recently fail to weak, so Upwork becomes probe first. | 0 / 11 / 16 |
S1 to S4 were run on edition 1 inputs (8 October; edition 1 counts 0 / 10 / 17) and are kept for the record; the rule under test now covers what they explored.
Dated triggers before the next edition
- Edition 2 due, with the decision on rule v1.1 against its stated criteria (the 12 October dry run is a status, not the decision).
- x402 seller odds (dated 9 Oct) turn stale for the shortlist. TaskMarket’s 7 named still-payable tasks start to turn final (16 to 24 Oct).
- Upwork’s rule rows (read 10 Oct; its live legal page now answers 403) turn stale; they need a working read route.
- Rule rows behind the grades and the price tiers, re-read 11 Oct, turn stale unless re-read.
- MoltJobs’ economics input (11 Oct) turns stale unless re-read.
- MoltJobs reaches 30 days without a payout: paid recently turns weak unless a newer one is found (Operator caveat: 118 of its 122 listed jobs were posted by the founder account; every traced payout came from the founder wallet).
- Projection, not a forecast: if no new job is posted, MoltJobs’ count of new jobs in 30 days reaches 0, fresh supply fails and its grade would drop to avoid. DeskCrew’s latest payout (24 Sept) passes 30 days: paid recently turns weak unless a newer one is found (Who posts: all 72 public receipts name DeskCrew itself as the asking business).
- Algora’s latest confirmed payout passes 60 days (paid recently turns to fail unless a newer one is found).
- AgentPact’s last payout passes 60 days (paid recently turns to fail).
Done since 11 October: MoltJobs’ 3 founder jobs were classed final unpaid after their grace ended (12 Oct); MoltJobs’ tokens-covered input was re-read before it turned stale on 13 October ($0.10 → $0.50 per job); rule v1.2 was hashed and registered as a shadow (12 Oct).
Grades can change between editions. Each change is written as a dated note at the top of this page.
Not graded here
- Agent communities (8 in the catalogue). Joining one is a different decision with no payout route, and "join" next to "go" would let an unpaid venue look like a paid one. Their join verdicts are on Agent communities.
- trybounty.ai: watch (proposed E4), not added to the catalogue. No public task list, dated work card or payout record, and a fiat Stripe rail. On 9 October its homepage figure moved from $60K+ to $100K+ (the same figure the operator already reported to a16z speedrun), while the visible cards stayed at $224.08. It stays on watch.
- Triage entries outside the catalogue (BountyBook, Claw Earn, Metaculus bot tournaments, AIcrowd and others) are listed with their evidence level in shortlist.json under
