Interledger applications are paused despite the November date.
Interledger Foundation now says its Local Impact Mini-Grant applications are paused. The July announcement said applications would roll through 11 November 2026, but the current programme page and application form both say the route is paused. The form says it received more than 600 applications from more than 60 countries. That is issuer-reported volume, not a selection rate.
What to do now
Do not prepare a submission on the assumption that the November date still gives access. Check the current programme page for a reopening notice; none is published today. If you already started a draft, the public notice does not say whether it can be completed, so ask the issuer before investing more time.
If applications reopen, the grant remains described as USD 500–3,000 for direct activities on open payments and digital financial access. Individual practitioners, community groups, and local fintech startups may fit a concrete project, subject to sanctions rules. The application asks for a short form, two-page concept note, budget, and timeline; selected projects must finish within six months. The range is not a guaranteed award or operating-cost grant.
