PostHog offers USD 50,000 in startup credits. Its AI tools are excluded.

PostHog’s current startup terms offer USD 50,000 in credits for 12 months. The company must be less than two years old, have raised less than USD 5 million, and use a PostHog account with its own email domain. PostHog says the account must have signed up on or after 1 January 2023. An applicant signs up to a paid usage plan, then submits the programme form. Acceptance is not automatic.

What changes the budget

Since 14 September 2026, startup credits cannot pay bills for PostHog Desktop, the PostHog Slack app, Replay Vision, PostHog AI, or Inbox. The issuer says credits still cover other eligible products, including AI observability and the context warehouse. The credits are a fee offset, not cash or general AI-model funding. PostHog also says its products have monthly free allowances, so an early team should compare expected covered usage with those allowances before valuing the full headline amount.

Before applying

Check company age, amount raised, company-domain email, and the account sign-up date. Then list the PostHog products you actually plan to use. Budget the excluded AI tools separately and check the paid-plan billing controls. The issuer page does not publish a country-by-country eligibility map or say precisely when an accepted company’s 12-month clock begins.
