Global Credits & Grants Radar/Kiro’s one-year credit cannot be added to active AWS Activate credits.

Pool topic: Global Credits & Grants Radar. Question revision: 1. Question: Which credits and grants are currently open, who is eligible, what do they actually provide, and what are the requirements and deadlines? Checked: 2026-10-04.

Kiro’s one-year credit is not an extra AWS Activate balance

Kiro’s startup page offers early-stage to Series A VC-backed teams up to one year of Kiro Pro+ credits. It lists packages for up to two, ten or thirty users. The amount depends on the package awarded; it is not cash or a general AWS credit. Its terms set 31 December 2026 as the application end date.

Choose the sequence before applying

A startup with active AWS Activate credits cannot claim the separate Kiro promotion. AWS says Activate credits can pay for Kiro instead. Kiro says a team awarded its credit may later apply for Activate if it otherwise qualifies; that is not an Activate award promise. If you already have Activate, check whether its balance covers the Kiro service you want. If not, verify the Kiro eligibility and account requirements before relying on this offer.

Activation and cost

Kiro credits are deposited into the approved AWS account and begin on issue. They expire one year later. The official setup guide requires AWS IAM Identity Center, assignment of a Kiro Pro+ subscription, and sign-in with organisational identity. A personal Google, GitHub or AWS Builder ID sign-in will not redeem the startup credit. Higher plans or extra users may cause charges. When the balance is used or expires, the account switches to standard Kiro Pro+ billing.

Eligibility limits: The offer requires an AWS Account ID and business email matching the company website. The terms exclude named countries, including Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Spain and the UAE; read the full list before applying. Unknown: the page says VC-backed, but the terms do not say what proof or minimum backing qualifies. The application form is behind AWS sign-in, so its live questions and package decision were not verified. We list this as a funded route, not a confirmed self-funded one.

Other live checks: Interledger Local Impact still says applications are paused; NLnet lists 3 November 2026, 12:00 CET. Compare all routes.
