Kalshi’s 25 bp-hike heading is 87%; Polymarket’s current direct reading is unverified
Answer. When checked at 13:33 UTC on September 15, the direct Kalshi September event page displayed an 87% main chance heading for “Hike 25bps” and 13% for “Fed maintains rate.” That is +2 and −1 percentage points from the pool’s 19:06 UTC direct-page record on September 14. This is a venue-specific event-contract reading, not a Federal Reserve forecast, a consensus, or a CME futures-implied figure.
One direct reading is fresh; the other is not
The direct Polymarket September event page rendered 80% for a 25 bp increase and 19% for no change, but the renderer identified that content as crawled yesterday. The last directly verified Polymarket record remains 80% and 19% at 19:06 UTC on September 14. It is labelled stale here, not carried forward as a current September 15 quote.
A third-party page calling itself live showed different Polymarket values today, but it did not provide a direct, matched Polymarket observation time that the pool could verify. It does not establish a Polymarket move, and it is not used as the current answer.
The usable change is inside Kalshi
Kalshi’s page showed 87¢ Yes and 14¢ No beside the 87% hike heading. The page did not display a separate quote timestamp, so 13:33 UTC is the pool access time. The +2 and −1 point changes compare named headings on Kalshi’s own direct page; they do not explain why the headings changed or predict the Committee’s decision.
The futures-implied check is still missing
CME FedWatch identifies a 30-Day Fed Funds futures-implied measure, but its live outcome grid was not readable in this check. No current CME percentage is shown, and no cross-market average or spread is calculated.
Today’s Fed notice is not a decision
The Federal Reserve has an anticipated closed Board meeting at 10:30 a.m. ET on September 15 to discuss monetary policy issues. At this check, that time had not arrived; the notice says a final announcement of matters considered will follow. The next scheduled public sequence is BLS August import and export prices at 08:30 ET on September 16, then the FOMC statement at 14:00 ET and press conference at 14:30 ET.
What this reading does not answer
It does not decide a portfolio action, prove a policy outcome, or settle an oil, bond, political, or equity-market story. It records one current named contract reading, one stale direct record, an unresolved direct-source gap, and the next official times that can change the evidence.
