A 60–90 minute, draft-only test

Run a small experiment before you connect a real system.

A first experiment should reveal boundaries, ownership and failure handling—not prove that autonomous marketing is safe.

One shared safety pattern

  1. Use a fictional product brief, test credentials and a disposable data store.
  2. Make a draft: content calendar, draft email or a reviewable CRM-segment report.
  3. Deliberately create one harmless failure and inspect the log, retry path or visible error.
  4. Review output with a named human. Do not send, post, mutate CRM records or spend money.
  5. Delete test data and credentials; record what an operator would need before a production decision.

Choose a layer-specific test

Mautic

Local/test install, isolated database and Mailhog/test mail transport. Submit one non-public form to a test contact; inspect the segment and queue without transmitting.

Activepieces CE

Fictional brief → Manual Trigger → one local transform → internal Markdown calendar. No Connection, LLM or external node. Inspect a harmless failure if possible; have a named person review, then purge the disposable instance. This is proposed, not performed.

Marketing Agent OS

Do not install yet. The 6 October one-skill test stopped before the installer because the pinned checkout and a network-denied boundary were unavailable. First verify both gates, then inspect one skill and installer for a disposable, fictional-data, draft-only test. Read the test-gate report.

Loopmark

Exploratory local drafting CLI only: use fictional data and a disposable local data directory. If separately approved, use a restricted test key; keep social credentials absent. Create drafts, inspect local JSON, then clean up. Do not schedule, send, post, or connect CRM data.

Small-list email is a separate path

Do not start with a live send. The 4 October decision contract separates a DOI request, one post-confirmation message, an ongoing welcome and a timed sequence. Keep an existing operated sender only if consent, approved copy, current suppression, an accountable attempt and provider outcomes can be reconciled. Otherwise stop and repair that process. A new phpList, Keila or Listmonk route needs private source, recovery and sink-only tests before real recipients.

Social-post client review

For a fictional social post, collect feedback offline first. The 7 October Postiz audit finds that an unlisted preview accepts comments but does not enforce sign-off. The documented in-app path selects a connected channel before drafting; do not assume a no-channel Postiz draft. A later isolated trial needs a separately permissioned Bluesky test account and app password. No live, provider or security test was performed.

Keep approval separate

Record the exact draft version, named reviewer and decision in an organization-controlled record. A flow run or Mautic role is not that approval. The 28 Sep handoff report assigns credentials, consent, action evidence and recovery to their owners; its combined route is a paper proposal only.

Do not infer what was not tested

These are documented plans, not hands-on benchmark results. Production requires separate checks for consent, opt-outs, suppression, platform terms, costs, credentials, backups, monitoring and rollback.
