Activepieces CE: connect systems, but keep a flow owner.

Activepieces Community Edition is the orchestrator-layer option for reviewed flows across systems a team already owns. It is not itself a CRM, consent ledger or email service.

Scope and license caveat

Boundary. The project describes visual flows, pieces and an MCP ecosystem. Connector scope, OAuth permissions, retries and data paths remain specific to each chosen flow.

License. The checked license material identifies MIT Expat for Community Edition/outside named EE paths. Do not describe every repository path or enterprise feature as MIT.

Practical deployment burden

The checked Docker Compose guide documents Docker Compose v2, app, worker, PostgreSQL and Redis, keys, a public URL for webhooks and backup concerns. That makes this a conditional option for technical RevOps, not an “install and forget” connector.

  • Assign a flow owner and use an encryption-key backup plan.
  • Confirm each connection’s credentials, scopes, data destination and cost-bearing dependencies.
  • Cause and inspect a harmless failure before connecting a live system.

Conditional decision

Safe first test: manual trigger → fictional brief → optional approved test-LLM draft → reviewable calendar; deliberately cause a harmless step error, inspect it, and remove the flow and connection.

Maintenance signal and limit

The release page showed 0.91.1 on the research date, including a retry-related fix, and the checked security policy gives a private reporting route. Those observations do not establish every connector’s reliability or make external actions safe without review.
