Mautic is the platform-layer option when a team needs self-hosted contacts, forms, campaigns and lifecycle email—and can operate the supporting system.
What the checked sources support
Boundary. Mautic documentation covers forms, tracking, campaigns, queues, webhooks and scheduled operations. It is a marketing system, not a one-click drafting experiment.

What an operator must provide
- A PHP/web environment, writable application directory and database; the installation guide documents these setup paths.
- Administration, HTTPS and mail transport configuration before real email is contemplated.
- Scheduled/queue operations: the checked cron documentation matters because queued work does not manage itself.
- Separate verification of consent, suppression, deliverability, backups, upgrades, connector permissions and incident ownership.
Conditional decision
Safe first test: use an isolated database and test mail transport, submit one non-public form to a test contact, then inspect the segment and queue without transmitting. This is a documented test plan, not a result of hands-on testing.
